I just freak out when they destroy cars and it's parts for entertainment value like that.

maybe? Not as just geographically, but in the mindset, just spending money and resources on nothing.
Like in every other show where they're restoring a car, when stripping it down they always throw the seats and body panels to brake them. I can't stand it, it's so primitive.
Same goes for Top Gear, and it pains my heart because other than that I love those guys. But somewhere I read that the BBC isn't legally allowed to sell the cars, so I console myself with the thought that it then doesn't make a difference anyway.
